2. Where the defects or internal stresses are relatively concentrated, the metal permeability has the minimum value and its tangent component has the maximum value. Therefore, the sign of the normal component changes. The value of the normal component is zero and the stress concentration area can be located by detecting the normal component of the leakage magnetic field on the surface. In this way, it can be indirectly determined whether the workpiece is defective or not.
