2. The power electronic conversion device inputs electric energy from the outside to drive the motor to rotate. The motor drives the flywheel to rotate. The flywheel stores kinetic energy (mechanical energy). When the external load requires energy, the flywheel drives the generator to rotate, converts the kinetic energy into electrical energy, and then passes the power electronic. The converter becomes the energy of various frequency and voltage levels required by the load to meet different needs.
3. The actual flywheel device mainly includes the following components: flywheel, shaft, bearing, motor, vacuum vessel and power electronic converter.
4. In actual work, the speed of the flywheel can reach 40,000~50000r/min. In order to reduce the energy loss during charging and discharging (mainly friction loss), the motor and the flywheel use magnetic bearings to suspend to reduce mechanical friction. At the same time, the flywheel and motor are placed in a vacuum container to reduce air friction. The net efficiency (input and output) of the flywheel battery is about 95%.
