1. Introduction  
   1.1 The 12KV series filter independently developed and manufactured is a passive filter device, a patented product, and has practical applications in the National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the State Grid and other user groups. .
   1.2 The 12KV series filter is an LC filter device composed of a high-voltage capacitor and an inductor. This high-voltage series filter is connected to a 10~12KV three-phase circuit. Because the series band-pass filter has a small impedance to the fundamental current , And the impedance to the harmonic current is very large, so only a set of filters can filter out all frequencies of harmonics. Low cost, economical and applicable, simple structure, thorough filtering effect, so it is also the most widely used filter.

2. Principle
The series filter has a very low impedance to the current at the resonance point frequency, and the impedance increases for the current deviating from the resonance point frequency. The more the deviation, the greater the impedance. For current components with a frequency higher than the resonance point, the impedance of the inductor is dominant, and for current components with a frequency lower than the resonance point, the impedance of the capacitor is dominant. Since the harmonic component is usually higher than the fundamental frequency, the filtering of harmonics is mainly performed by the inductor. The role of the capacitor is to cancel the impedance of the inductor to the fundamental frequency of the power frequency. The series filter reduces the harmonic current generated by the harmonic source itself, which is equivalent to reducing the pollution generated by the pollution source, and is a means to cure the problem. The rated voltage of the capacitor in the series filter is equal to its load voltage, and the rated current is equal to its actual load current.

4. Application significance
4.1 Harmonic control is a problem for the power grid. The various harmonics on the power line not only reduce the efficiency of the production, transmission and utilization of electrical energy, but also cause overheating, vibration and noise of electrical equipment, which in turn ages the insulation, affects the service life of the power device, and even malfunctions or burns. For example: harmonics can cause local parallel resonance or series resonance in the power system, which can amplify the harmonic content and cause the capacitors and other equipment to burn out; harmonics can also cause relay protection and automatic devices to malfunction, causing confusion in energy measurement; for power systems Externally, harmonics can cause severe interference to communication equipment and electronic equipment.
4.2 The use of LC high-voltage series filter can filter harmonics and compensate reactive power, reduce the installed capacity of equipment and reduce the power loss in the line.
