Main fan introduction
1. The function of the main blower is equivalent to the "main pump" of the pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant.
2. In the work, the main blower pressurizes the helium gas to 70 atmospheres and then acts as a coolant to remove the heat generated by the reactor core.
3. The helium gas stream is then passed through a steam generator and pressurized again to return to the reactor core for energy exchange.
4. Due to the inert nature of helium, the coolant does not cause chemical attack on the fuel elements and other components within the reactor when the impurities remain at a sufficiently low level. Helium does not absorb neutrons and has no significant reactive effects. These characteristics of helium make the amount of waste generated by the coolant relatively small.
Main fan operating parameters
The main blower in the application has a running power of 4500 kW and a working temperature of 250 °C, with pure helium as the working medium. The main blower is a large vertical high-speed frequency conversion unit. There is no product with similar capacity and similar structure in the world, which breaks through the rotational speed range and structure type of large vertical units.
